The Adem and Sada Foundation was born from a legacy of compassion, resilience, and dedication to creating a brighter future for children and families in Ethiopia. Rooted in the values of education, empowerment, and community development, our foundation began as a private family initiative and has since grown into a multi-generational movement for change.
For over 20 years, our family has been committed to improving the quality of life in rural areas through education, poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable development. Inspired by the leadership of Mr. Adem and the legacy of service he built, we proudly carry forward this mission, ensuring that love, compassion, and community remain at the heart of everything we do.
Al Nejashi Orphanage
Out of this enduring commitment, the Al Nejashi Orphanage was established in Mekelle, the capital of Tigray, as a direct extension of our foundation's mission. Sponsored and supported by the Adem and Sada Foundation, Al Nejashi Orphanage is a safe haven for children who lost their parents during the war.
More than just shelter, the orphanage provides a loving and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Through academic tutoring, language classes, religious studies, arts and crafts, and cooking lessons, we aim to equip every child with the tools to live with dignity and pursue a future filled with opportunity.
We also focus on empowerment and sustainability. With programs designed to help the children become financially independent, the orphanage incorporates income-generating activities such as selling cookies and handmade crafts, teaching self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
